Safety information
Seamless tracking for cars and vans
With the DAKO GPS tracker, you always keep an eye on the location of your vehicles thanks to location data that is updated several times every minute. Even if the reception should be bad, the transmitter collects GPS data in the integrated memory until they can be transmitted again.
The recording of position data is also possible in less developed regions without any problems, because the tracker receives both GPS and GNSS data.
The data is transferred from the tracking device directly to the DAKO telematics platform and can be viewed there. For this, you need a separate tariff.
No workshop required – Simply install the GPS tracker yourself
All workshop costs are eliminated because you can simply and safely plug the GPS tracker into the OBD socket (Plug and Track). The control LEDs let you know within seconds when the device is ready for use.
Secure transmission
Thanks to the latest encryption technology, your position data always reaches you securely. The transmission via GPRS signal corresponds to the latest technical standards.
FAQ
How does OBD vehicle tracking with a GPS tracker work?
As soon as the GPS tracker is plugged into the OBD socket, it sends encrypted data at short intervals via a SIM card to DAKO's data processing centre. There they are stored securely and can be accessed via TachoWeb. The tracking device must remain permanently plugged in for this.
Which data does the GPS tracker send?
Our OBD solution transmits encrypted position data.
What do I have to consider when using vehicle tracking?
Before you decide to use a GPS system, you should carefully check whether the use you intend to make of it complies with data protection laws.
